Bring your class to the Nationaal Onderduikmuseum and experience history at Markt 12!
The Nationaal Onderduikmuseum offers three educational programmes for primary schools. These programmes introduce pupils to the themes of Hiding, Resistance, and Freedom.
All programmes are available in both Dutch and German.
In consultation with the teacher, we can create a bespoke programme tailored to your pupils’ needs.
Programmes
The Little Quest (De Kleine Zoektocht)
(Year 5 and up)
Pupils go on a voyage of discovery through the museum in small groups by means of a scavenger hunt.
This programme is supervised by a museum educator.
Format:
Following an interactive introduction, pupils conduct independent research in the museum in small groups. The lesson concludes with a group plenary session.
Duration: approx. 1½ hours

Aligns with the ‘Second World War’ window of the Dutch Historical Canon.
The Quest (De Zoektocht)
(Year 6 & 7)

Dit programma wordt begeleid door een museumdocent.

Yes?! No?! Maybe?! (Ja?! Nee?! Misschien?!) (Year 7)
Using various dilemmas, pupils are confronted with the difficult choices people faced during the occupation. A clear connection is made to the present day.
This programme is supervised by a museum educator.

Duration: approx. 1½ hours
