Ode to Freedom

Freedom song Irene van der Aart & Dennis Weelink

Fragment song: Ode to Freedom

Freedom seems so obvious, we often take it for granted.
Comedian and writer Irene van der Aart and keyboardist/arranger Dennis Weelink give meaning to freedom in Ode to Freedom. The duo wrote and composed this beautiful freedom song in the run-up to the celebration of 80 years of freedom in 2025.

Would you like to listen to the freedom song (music and singing)? Ode to Freedom can be listened to on Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube, among others.

They can add the freedom song to their repertoire. Whereby we note that not all verses necessarily have to be performed. Feel free to make a choice: what suits your music or singing group best.
How nice would it be if we bring an Ode to Freedom in this year? So that we realize that freedom cannot be taken for granted. We must cherish freedom.
